Does it work on pasture farms, or only in confinement?

The ideal scenario is confined cattle: the physical structure makes C-Com antenna coverage easier, and monitoring extracts maximum value from controlled behavior. In semi-confinement, the system also runs well. On pasture, it's possible with adjustments to the coverage infrastructure, but the technical consultant evaluates case by case to confirm feasibility.

What if the internet wavers? Does the system stop working?

The system needs stable internet to operate in real time, that's an honest prerequisite. During occasional drops, the C-Com antennas have internal memory that holds the data until the connection returns, preventing loss. But for VIC to deliver up-to-date alerts, a consistent connection is essential.

Do I need to be tech-savvy to use the platform?

No. The platform was designed to deliver ready actions, not raw data to interpret. You get the indication: which animal needs attention, the reason, and the priority. There's training during onboarding and continuous technical support. The technology adapts to the routine, not the other way around.

How long until the technology starts paying for itself?
